Tim Davis was also born in Orland Park, Illinois. From the earliest age, he had an affinity for the camera. His dad was a tech-fiend and Tim always made sure that he could operate at family parties. Tim met Jon in junior high after Jon orchestrated a fight between a mutual friend who had heard that rumor that Tim was fooling around his girlfriend. The two became close during sophomore year and became involved in various photography and video projects. However, it wasn’t until junior year, when Tim took cinema studies that the movie trigger was pulled.

Tim enrolled in Northern Illinois University where he studied Mass Media and Philosophy. He was recruited by the Northern Star and was the recipient of their Peacemaker Award. During this time, Tim also received the O’Connell Creative Achievement Award for a short narrative film.

Tim got a job at Maker Studios doing production and post-production. He was brought on as employee #8, working out of a small storefront making $1000 a month for six months and helped build Maker Studios into the preeminent new media studio it is today. He leapt into the freelance world in 2013 and has been working in Grip and Electric every since, consuming everything he can find on the art and craft of cinematography, and is working his way up the ladder.
